Thank you to everyone who attended our webinar last week, ” Meeting Room Manager Customer Update: What’s New in Version 8.0.” We’re proud of Version 8.0, and we think you’ll see tremendous advantages to the upgrade.
A number of attendees had some questions, and I’d like to follow up with the answers here. If you have any more questions about Meeting Room Manager 8.0, please contact us.
Q: When will Version 7 support be discontinued?
A: Version 7 will be supported until Version 9 is released. Our support policy is to support the most recent release and one prior.
Q: Does the Outlook plug-in work with the Pro configuration or with just Enterprise?
A: The Outlook plug-in is only for our Enterprise configuration of the software. There are some enhancements for Outlook usage for our Pro configuration – like using .ics attachments to manage meeting invites – but there is still no bi-directional Outlook scheduling available in Pro.
Q: Will this work on Office 2003?
A: Yes, we support Outlook 2003 and 2007 in Meeting Room Manager 8.0
Q: Does the ‘Changed Reservations’ pop-up only appear when the organizer has Meeting Room Manager open or will it automatically popup once a change is made?
A: The pop-up is a function of the Outlook plug-in within Meeting Room Manager Enterprise, not the Web client. You could choose to have users access Meeting Room Manager exclusively via the plug-in and have them never log into the Web, or you could give them access to both. Meeting Room Manager is very flexible. The pop-up will only appear if the plug-in is installed and a meeting is changed by another user in the Web client.
Q: What is the price of the upgrade?
A: If you have an active Maintenance & Support agreement you can upgrade to 8.0 free of charge. As the cost of the upgrade is different for everyone, please contact us for price of the upgrade and/or Maintenance & Support.

Is there a plug-in for Office 2010 32 and 64 bit
Vijai,
We will have an Outlook Plugin for Office 2010 this Spring. The tentative release date is 4/30/11.
Do you have a outlook 2010 plugin available for download. I am in need of one.
Ashish,
The new plug-in is part of the latest MRM release. You just need to make sure you are upgraded to the latest version.
Here is the URL to download the latest version.
